Oak House

Oak House

Oak House in West Bromwich is a delightful half timbered yeoman farmer's house built round about 1630 or earlier.

The Oak House Museum boasts some fine panelling and is furnished with 17th century furniture. The house is set in its own grounds with a children's playground on site which is available to visitors during the opening hours of the museum.

It is free to visit the Oak House in West Bromwich - however unfortunately there is currently no disabled access to the first floor.

The museum has a lively programme of events and activities throughout the year as well as award winning schools sessions.

Visitor Centre

Our brand new visitor centre located in our historic barns is now open and there are also brand new displays and talking barrels in the old west barn giving information and stories about the Oak House's former residents. Why not visit us, bring a picnic if the weather is fine to enjoy on our terrace and buy an ice cream. Please note that entrance to the site is via the Oak House Barns Visitor Centre and not the gates on the corner of Oak Road and Cambridge Street.
