The London Stadium
The London Stadium
The Olympic Park’s most recognisable venue, the London Stadium is a magnificent arena that will be the only venue in the UK able to host both world class football and athletics events.
From 2016, the Stadium becomes the new home of West Ham United FC and the National Competition Centre for athletics in the UK, as well as a major venue for other sporting events. It will be open all year round for visitor tours, arts and cultural events, conferences and music concerts!
Stadium Tours - Now open
The much awaited behind the scenes tour of the Stadium are now open, so book your place today! Find out more about how to book HERE.
Having already provided some of the most memorable nights in sporting history during the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, in 2015 the venue hosted the hugely successful Sainsbury's Anniversary Games in July followed by five matches during the Rugby World Cup, including the bronze play-off final between South Africa and Argentina, England vs New Zealand in the International Rugby League, and the spectacular Race of Champions in November.
This year, the Stadium provided the stage for some spectacular events including:
- ACDC as part of their 'Rock or Bust' European tour in June
- The return of Usain Bolt for the 2017 World Athletics Championhips
Transformation work at the Stadium has now been concluded and the venue is ready for its new role as a permanent, multi-use venue. We welcome school trips to all our events and to take our tour.
