Five Sisters Zoo's mission is to:

Encourage conservation of endangered wildlife for both native and non-native species, and create a safe and natural environment for all animals in our collection.

With over 160 different species of mammal, birds and reptiles, daily keeper talks, feeding and handling sessions and a large outdoor play & picnic area, the Five Sisters Zoo is a great day out for everyone all year round!

Education

The Five Sisters Zoo is an ideal location for a school visit offering educational packages suitable for all age groups from nursery, primary to secondary school and beyond, across a wide range of subjects.  

Whether you are looking for a full curriculum lead visit to re-inforce a particular topic or simply an end of term fun trip, our aim is to cater for every groups' needs and ensure a fun and educational visit.  The large outdoor play area has proved extremely popular with the children of all ages.

With over 140 species of animals from around the world, there's so much to learn about!  From bats to bears and lemurs to lynx, we can cover a wide range of topics related to the Curriculum for Excellence.

Special school rates are available for groups of 10 or more children.
