Young Filmmaker Scoops £300 of Camera Equipment After Filming School Trip

George Clist, a student at Uffcolme School in Devon was awarded the equipment after IBT – a Prestwick based travel company specializing in school and educational travel - saw his work on YouTube.

While on his school’s annual ski trip to Alependorf, Austria last December, the Year 11 student made a film of himself and his friends on the slopes.  When he returned to the UK, he edited his footage, originally shot on GoPro and Panasonic cameras, into a four minute film and uploaded it to YouTube, where it was seen by IBT. They quickly got in touch with him and asked to use the film as part of their official promotional material. In exchange, he was given £300 worth of equipment to help him develop his skills as a cinematographer.

George’s film is now being used in schools across the country, in assemblies and parents’ evenings, to promote the services of IBT.
